Laerdal Bangalore has joined hands with Ubiqare Health to offer doctor-driven medical home care services to its employees at home. The partnership started in May 2021 during the second wave of COVID and has now extended to care for other illnesses as well.

During the second wave of COVID when hospital resources were stretched thin, Laerdal Bangalore saw Ubiqare’s mobility healthcare platform as an opportunity to deliver complete care to their employees and their dependent family members at home.
 
Laerdal Bangalore engaged Ubiqare platform’s clinical telephony to provide doctor consultations to their employees suspecting COVID infections. Ubiqare’s clinical team of doctor and nurses conducted regular patient monitoring and implemented the Ministry of Health recommended home care protocol for COVID patients. Laerdal Bangalore employees could use this COVID home care facility for themselves and their dependent family members.
 
Our specialty home care service for patients which includes the presence of a doctor has helped certain employees avoid COVID related complications. For example, we have connected them to pulmonologist who helped them deal with respiratory issues and minimize lung damage. We have also offered support to Laerdal employees who have struggled with lingering symptoms, often referred to as Long COVID.

Later on, the engagement was expanded to other illnesses beyond COVID.
