Aruna, a 50-years old resident of Bangalore, had her life turned upside down when she received her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis 15 years ago. It took her some time to come to terms with the reality that she was struck by a chronic illness. But once the initial shock had waned, she started her treatment after evaluating different options available to her with her specialist.
 
During the initial phase of her treatment, she regularly visited her surgeon in the hospital for consultations and follow-ups. Ubiqare created a collaborative care ecosystem for Aruna that involved her specialist, our Care Doctor, skilled nurse, an attendant, diabetologist and physiotherapist.
 
We signed up Aruna with our mobility healthcare platform that enabled her specialist to monitor her health at home. Our Care Doctor collaborated with her specialist and implemented his care protocol for Aruna at home. The Care Doctor held daily virtual interactions with Aruna as he monitored her vitals every day. He also visited her physically as and when needed.
 
We assigned a skilled nurse to Aruna who visited her regularly for cleaning and dressing her bed sores. Since Aruna was inserted with a urine catheter, the nurse monitored it regularly for hygiene and changed it.
